What we verify before delivery

Every Standard conversion is checked against a fixed list before the .qbm leaves our processing host: the trial balance reconciles to the dollar against the Enterprise source, list counts on customers, vendors, items, and accounts match exactly, A/R and A/P aging buckets line up by name, sales tax liability rolls forward correctly, and the bank-reconciliation status on every reconciled account is preserved. We then document the result in a short verification PDF that you can hand directly to a reviewing accountant — our deliverable is a working Premier or Pro file plus the evidence that it is working.

Files we accept and what you receive back

We accept QuickBooks Enterprise portable backups (.qbm) only. Use File → Create Copy → Portable company file inside Enterprise to produce one before uploading. We do not need .qbb full backups, and we never ask for the live .qbw working file because portable copies preserve the underlying data with much smaller file sizes and shorter transfer times. You receive a single converted .qbm plus the verification PDF. Restoring on your end is the same File → Open or Restore Company → Restore a portable file workflow you already use on any other QuickBooks backup.

Will the converted file open on every supported Premier or Pro release?

Yes — the .qbm we deliver opens cleanly on currently-supported QuickBooks Desktop Premier and Pro releases running on Windows. If your firm is still on a specific legacy build we can target it on request before we start the conversion. Once the file is restored you can keep updating Premier or Pro on its own release cycle without ever opening Enterprise again, which is the entire point of moving down — predictable per-seat pricing without losing your underlying transaction history.

What happens if my Enterprise file does not qualify as Standard?

If we open the upload and find advanced inventory turned on, multi-currency enabled, non-default custom fields, or list counts above the Premier ceiling, we pause the job and email you before processing further. You receive a clear explanation of which trigger fired and an optional upgrade quote to the Complex service. You can also cancel at that point for a full refund — we never auto-bill the larger amount, and you never end up with a half-finished file you cannot actually open.

How do I send my .qbm to your team securely?

Every order in this Portal includes an encrypted upload link tied to your account, with 256-bit transport encryption and a per-order access token that expires after delivery. We do not accept email attachments because email is not an appropriate transport for multi-megabyte company files containing payroll history and banking details. After we deliver the converted file we retain your upload for seven days to support follow-up tickets, then we permanently delete it from our processing host.

Does the conversion preserve my custom reports and memorized transactions?

Premier and Pro share the QuickBooks Desktop report engine with Enterprise, so memorized reports, memorized transactions, customer types, vendor types, terms, payment methods, and most other internal lookups carry across without change. The only routine casualties are Enterprise-only features such as advanced reporting and roles-based permissions that have no Premier counterpart at all — our verification report calls those out by name so you know exactly what was dropped before you start working day-to-day in the new file.

Are CAD prices final, or does GST/HST get added at checkout?

Every price you see on this Portal is in Canadian dollars before tax. Canadian customers pay GST or HST at checkout based on the billing province, exactly the way QuickBooks itself layers sales tax on a domestic invoice. We never bill in USD, we never surprise-add a foreign-currency surcharge, and we do not charge any kind of monthly maintenance fee on top of the one-time conversion price. The line items on your invoice match the prices shown on the order page.
